Thoughts for today
  • Walk Your Own Path

Unfortunately, many people love to judge others.

It is easy to let peer pressure can make you stray from your own path and follow others.

It is important to march to the beat of your own drummer and avoid that pressure to conform to some popular norm.

You are your own special person and you should follow your own path and reach your own dreams. Not let others dictate the way you live your life.

  • Never underestimate the power of compound interest.

Start saving money now. Save as early as possible and let that money grow. It may seem odd to put money away for “retirement” when you are still a teen with a paper route. But the earlier you begin to save, compound interest will help to grow your savings to greater highs.

You don’t have to wait until you have a better-paying job to start putting away some amount in your savings account. A few years hence, you’ll appreciate that you did.

  • Abundance and greed are two very antagonistic forces. The only way to bring more into your life is by letting go and giving more freely. Greed in the long term closes more doors. Stay in abundance and generosity even when it’s the harder choice. Generosity breeds abundance.

  • Set goals, reach them, and enjoy the success but never become so hyper focused on the future that you forget to enjoy the ride along the way.

Don’t take yourself so seriously. Life is meant to be lived and fully experienced. Live, laugh, love.

  • Happiness is cultivated from an internal desire to live a life where you are connected to the right things and disconnected from the rest.

Ultimately, to be happy you must surround the darkness with your own light.

  • Life may not be picture perfect but it doesn’t have to be in order to reap the rewards that come from overcoming adversity, facing change with an open heart, and letting go of empty expectations.

  • 1. Happiness is simple.

    2. It’s not an achievement. It is a state-of-being, perception, and an active choice. You’re not always going to feel it and that’s okay too. Always honor where you are at but know that you have the power to change it.

JOMO, the joy of missing out. There is much to be said about living a simple life with clear focus based on meaningful values. Slow down, be present, and be good to yourself.

  • You will get tested in ways that can strip you away of who you are, rob you of your joys, break you completely down ― and yet there is always the possibility to get back up again, stronger than before.

  • Life doesn’t work as a linear cycle; it’s a series of highs and lows that are intertwined, irregular, and often unpredictable.

  • 1. Love comes when you set the intention, and then let it go.

    2. When you hold on to old lovers, you don’t allow the space for new love to come through.

    3. Marriage is not an end goal; it’s actually the beginning of even deeper work.

  • “When you fall in love with the process rather than the product, you don’t have to wait to give yourself permission to be happy. You can be satisfied anytime your system is running.” ―

  • May the New Year bring to you warmth of love, and a light to guide your path towards a positive destination.

As the new year renews all the happiness and good tidings, hope the joyful spirit keeps glowing in the your heart forever!

  • If you’ve mastered a healthy body but not a healthy mind, you haven’t mastered health at all. Health is an ever evolving journey and not something to be mastered.

  • More than ever we live in a society that takes away from our self-assurance because of the value put on the external. Anchor yourself in what’s actually real ― your heart, your soul, your mind, your light, the way you treat people, and the energy you give to yourself.

  • 1. All physical change begins internally.

    2. Your healthy lifestyle should bring out enjoyment ― not restriction or excess.

    3. Balance works when you couple healthy choices with the things that might not be so healthy but that do bring you joy for you must nourish the body, mind, and soul.

  • 1. You have to be bold enough to listen to your inner voice. Over and over and over again.

    2. You cannot be who you are when you hold on to pieces of who you are not.

    3. With every choice in the right direction, you evolve right then and there.

  • 1. If you do not GO after what you want, you’ll never have it.
Some people think that things happen by themselves, by magic. If you want something you must make an effort to go after it or it will forever be out of your reach.

    2. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be NO.
Don’t be afraid to ask. Ask for help, ask for an answer, ask for whatever you want but just ASK. What is the worse thing that can happen? The person will say NO. If you don’t ask, it is also NO so you have nothing to lose by asking!

    3. If you do not step FORWARD, you will always be in the same place.
If you don’t take that first step, you will always stay in the same place or situation. If you want to improve your life situation the only way is to move forward, move ahead. If it is a bad situation that you are in then you must take that first step forward away from it, leaving it behind in your past.

  • Today, let us be grateful to people who make us happy for they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Be thankful for our health, for what we have. No matter what, there is always something to be grateful for 💕
  • have and to not take anything for granted. Sometimes, we never know valuable something is until it’s gone, so tell your friends and family that you love them and hug them, cherish every moment.
  • 1. Whenever something happens that makes you sad, ask yourself whether you’d still care about it when you’re ninety.

    2. If the grass is greener on the other side, there’s probably more manure there.

    3. Never argue with a stupid person, they’ll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

  • 1. Remember you’ll always regret what you didn’t do rather than what you did.

    2. You’d worry less about what people think about you if you knew how seldom they do.

    3. If you blame it on someone else, don’t expect it to get better.

  • 1. Be persistent. When knowledge and ability aren’t enough, be persistent.

    2. Happiness is a choice and everything else is a matter of perspective.

    3. Don’t give up what you want most for what you want now.

  • Frightening, but there is an unrivaled happiness that comes through acts of vulnerability. These moments confirm we are human. That we are imperfect. We open ourselves and, as if looking in the mirror for the first time, are able to step back and see who we are a bit more clearly–for better or worse. We accept ourselves, and let others do the same.

Vulnerability is the secret. We as a society go to great lengths to hide who we are, and create masks, personas, and images to portray the parts we know will receive approval–while banishing the rest to the shadows. But all our best work comes from being vulnerable. All our happiest moments and saddest realizations come from being vulnerable. All our deepest loves and greatest friendships come from being vulnerable. All our art, all our music, all our creativity comes from being vulnerable.

Vulnerability is the secret to happiness – Happiness is not out there somewhere, waiting for you. Happiness is hidden within vulnerability, and vulnerability is hidden within you.

  • If everything in your life is planned out, then it’s boring. If nothing in your life is planned out, then it’s risky and uneasy.

Happiness is found somewhere in the middle. You want just enough certainty in your life to feel like you have ground to stand on, you’re not completely in danger, but you’ve left the window open for spontaneity to sneak in for a sleepover every now and then.

It’s the spontaneous adventures that bring extreme moments of joy. But they are best enjoyed when you know you have something safe to land on as well.

  • We as humans like to believe “happiness” is the destination wherein there is no more challenge. Everything is easy.

In fact, it is quite the opposite. We love challenge. We thrive off challenge. We grow through challenge. We discover ourselves by being challenged. And it is not the thing itself, but your emotional state that decides whether or not that process of growing and being challenged is enjoyable, in the same way a workout can be enjoyable or grueling and painful (in the same way a workout to someone out of shape can be grueling and painful).

The simple act of developing positive habits in itself brings a deeply “earned” happiness. We are happy because we have overcome ourselves.
  • – Choose your friends wisely

You are a reflection of the five people you spend the most time with–choose them wisely. If they complain a lot, you will inevitably complain a lot. If they are lazy, you will become lazy. If they are not actively improving themselves, you will not actively improve yourself–unless you leave the situation and find others who will reflect that part of you.

It is very difficult to remain in a state of happiness when you are surrounded by negativity.

  • If you are an extrovert, don’t allow yourself to work a job that suppresses that part of you. If you are an introvert, don’t try to contort yourself to an extroverted company culture. Your own happiness is a reflection of your day-to-day, the things you’re doing, and most important, how you are doing them.

Create your own environment. Put yourself in a place that will help you grow, not suppress your growth. Surround yourself with people who understand, or at least make the effort to understand you. There are always options. Do not settle for someplace that does not feed your core.
  • Staying true to yourself is a challenge, yes. But effectively suppressing your true self is even more challenging.

  • When opportunity presents it in front of you, make sure to take it. Strike while the iron is hot. Ignore the nay-Sayers. You don’t know what you are capable of until you take action.

  • Make every moment of your life count. Create a vision that makes you want to jump out of bed every morning. Chase your dreams and take action today. Life is too precious not to make the best out of it. Be grateful, be happy.

  • Don’t put the cart before the horse.

Meanings: Do things in proper order. ‘Horse before the cart’ is the proper order, and not ‘cart before the horse’.

Example: Don’t put the cart before the horse by finalizing the house you want to buy before you arrange the funds for down payment.

  • Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Meaning:Don’t put all your effort into a single course of action, venture, investment, goal, or the like, because if it doesn’t work, you lose everything.

Example: Almost entire revenue of the Company comes from the Facebook platform. If Facebook tweaks its policies in future, the Company may sink. They shouldn’t put all their eggs in the same basket.
  • To be your friend was all I ever wanted; to be your lover was all I ever dreamed. -Valerie Lombardo

  • Don’t kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Meaning: If you kill a goose that lays golden eggs, you destroy something that makes lot of money for you.

  • Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Just like you can’t form an opinion of a book just by looking at its cover, you can’t form an opinion about someone (or something) from their outward appearance.

He seems a bit jerk to me, but, hey, you never know. He may be good. You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

  • Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.

Meaning: Don’t make plans based on future events that may not happen at all.

God help America ~

The 2020 Protests: A Major Setback in the Effort to Kill Out Racism in America. Significantly Americans are searingly outraged at the brutal torture-killing, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, of a handcuffed, restrained-by-four-law-enforcement-officers, unarmed Black man named George Floyd. In outraged response to that killing, conducted by a uniformed police officer, and outraged as well by the […]

Empathy ⚜️⚜️

It allows us to connect with one another on deep and meaningful levels and to accept others with a more open mind and generous heart. Those of us who identify as empathy […]

Life is like a bunch of roses. Some sparkle like raindrops. Some fade when there's no sun. Some just fade away in time. Some dance in many colors. Some drop with hanging wings. Some make you fall in love. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Life you can be sure of, you will not get out ALIVE.(sorry about that)
