“TOXIC STATEMENTS.” a poem a.k.a.: “The Power of Suggestion?” for: Tuesday,

WORDS ARE POWERFUL, especially so,
For a “weak minded?” person in YOUR MIDST, so KNOW,
(THAT) What you say can gravely affect,
The recipient of your words. WHAT THE HECK?
A story then: of a school trip on a regular bus,
Where there was girl named JANE (or Jan, to us).
We all decided to tell Jan she looked bad,
BUT SHE LOOKED FINE REALLY. Now, here is THE SAD,
PART. After telling her that she looked badly OVER & OVER AGAIN,
SHE BECAME ILL. You know, I think it’s kind of a sin,
When someone you know whom you kind of like,
Says hurtful things to you repeatedly it’s sort of like A SPIKE;
A spike through your psyche, like a stake into the chest,
Of a vampire in her coffin. I think you know the rest.
SO, try if you can, to SAY NICE, UPLIFTING THINGS,
Like compliments and praises for such magnanimous gesture brings,
HAPPINESS JOY and UPLIFTINGNESS.
Please stay away from using upsetting words.
I MUST CONFESS,
“I HAVE (sometimes repeatedly) TOLD even FRIENDS SAD WORDS,”
And sadly I know,
EVEN IF TRUE, I have brought others woe.
SO, WORDS ARE POWERFUL. Please listen AGAIN.
WORDS ARE VERY POWERFUL and can bless or HARM women or men.
So, choose carefully PLEASE what you will say,
SO YOU MIGHT BLESS OTHERS.
