Tender Gaze ~

Wherever I happened to be
I feel a softness caress me
Like a pleasant dream.

I look around, I ponder
With a surprise realize
I am being beheld by your eyes
In a tender velvet gaze

Demure, downcast
To watch me, to guard me
Against things evil
And even against myself.

The pure in spirit
Courage of convictions
Borne out of pure love
Can have that power
To freeze Beelzebub
In his dirty tracks.

I know I never need
To fall into a concern
As long as the soft pair
Of liquid brown eyes
Of an earthern hue
Is watching over me
For all spring
From holy earth.

Life is like a bunch of roses. Some sparkle like raindrops. Some fade when there's no sun. Some just fade away in time. Some dance in many colors. Some drop with hanging wings. Some make you fall in love. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Life you can be sure of, you will not get out ALIVE.(sorry about that)
