The 30-year-old has pleaded guilty to four manslaughter charges, two counts of grievous bodily harm, and one of aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm while under the influence of drugs.

During a sentence hearing at Parramatta District Court today, Davidson sat in the dock wiping away tears as family members of the victims read accounts of the pain they had endured since the fatal crash.

Leila Abdallah, the mother of three of the children killed, said Davidson’s actions had turned her family’s lives “upside down” and she was “no longer the same person”.

“Never in my dreams would I have thought that my kids Antony, Angelina and Sienna would die before me,” she said.

“You have killed us all. I’m no longer living — just existing.”

Her husband Danny fought back tears as he spoke of the angst he had suffered.

Addressing Davidson directly, Mr Abdallah said:

“You took laughter and joy out of my household. You ripped my heart out and ran over it in your car.”

Mr Abdallah said, along with Davidson, he blamed society “for teaching kids that drugs and alcohol are cool”.

“Because of this culture, I have buried half of my children.

“Whatever sentence you get, it will never be enough for the loss that we have endured.”

Both parents said they had forgiven Davidson but justice must be served.

Veronique’s father, Bob Sakr, called on the judge to hand down the “most extreme sentence” so the tragedy “will never happen again”.

“The only time a father should walk his princess down a church aisle is for her wedding … instead I carried her down the aisle for her funeral” he said.

In a powerful statement, Veronique’s mother Bridget Sakr also told Davidson: “You may have lost your freedom but I have lost my flesh and blood.

“I refuse to show anger but to show love. Love always conquers.”

Veronique’s brother, Michael, said he suffered from sleepless nights and struggled to concentrate at school since her death.

“Veronique was my fellow soldier. We fought together. Now I am battling life’s challenges alone,” the 14-year-old said.

“Our lives have been changed permanently. Your life has been changed temporarily.”

Davidson’s parents, retired police detective Allan Davidson and his wife Kay, were among those who attended the hearing.

Davidson faces a maximum 25 years behind bars. He will be sentenced next month.
