Spiritual Purity~ silly place

“SCRAPE-ation!” a poem, a.k.a.: “Scraping Your Soul Clean For Spiritual Purity!” Thursday, August 8, 2019, “Scraping Day in The U. S. A.?!”

I’m-just “SCRAPING BY,” using-The-Oriental-teaching-of: SCRAPE YOUR SOUL,

IF-YOU-BELIEVE-IN-SUCH-THINGS, “Squeaky-clean” is-Your-Goal!

And HOW? (you may well ask) DO-YOU DO IT WELL?

Well, I have tried it out! However, (pause) I heard tell:*

That YOU FIND THE MOST DIFFICULT PEOPLE you know,

Maybe – I-dunno-know!? Maybe, “fresh-outta-Hell,”

Ones-who’ll-take-up all-your PATIENCE! TIME! and EN-R-GY,

People PERFECTLY OBNOXIOUS! with greedy, thieving imag-‘ry,

Who exist ONLY – for “quid pro quo,”

And they always want you to HURRY UP – and-They-want-you-to-know,

“SERVING ME – IS A L W A Y S THE BEST,

THING TO DO! COME-ON! PASS ANOTHER TEST,

AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER – TO SHOW YOUR LOVE!”

“These” are “THOSE,” whether below! or above,

That YOU SHOULD HANG WITH, and – do-it WITH-GRACE,

Serve and stoop and always embrace,

Those who despise you, for such will yield,

All-that-you-hope-for: like-a CLEAN SOUL! and-a-FRESH-FIELD!

This-“scraping” is ancient philosophy, supposedly tried and true,

Well, BIG SURPRISE! Here’s some advice that-I’ve-got for-you:

DISREGARD “THEM!” LET THEM PASS;

LET THEM CRY; DON’T-KISS THEIR-A – – !

TELL THEM: “Sorry,” UNLESS you-feel,

Especially charitable – and-are-willing-to-deal,

With them at all! You-COULD – make it “your call,”

BUT, JUST DON’T THINK THAT YOU’RE GONNA RISE OR FALL,

BECAUSE OF HELPING “ROGUES!” After all, THEY’RE ONLY YOU,

IN DISGUISE! So, realize – This-is Nothing New,

Just ancient philosophies – MORE SILLY IDEAS,

Take-’em or Leave-’em, ’cause-they’re-here just-t’ te-as[e],

YOU! and-There ain’t [besides] no punishment or reward,

That’s another goofy notion that nobody can afford!

YOU’RE FINE; THEY’RE FINE; WE’RE FINE TOO!

Be free and easy! It might be good for you!

Life is like a bunch of roses. Some sparkle like raindrops. Some fade when there's no sun. Some just fade away in time. Some dance in many colors. Some drop with hanging wings. Some make you fall in love. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Life you can be sure of, you will not get out ALIVE.(sorry about that)
