‘Tis more important to have hope than to walk,
More important to listen than to talk
For hoping can allow you to walk again,
And, in hearing well, you can always win.
Quality of life is more important than how long,
You live,
for although to die while young and strong,
Is sad, when done with courage and flair,
Death is fresh.
Of dying fearful we should all beware.
To rest well and be allowed to slumber deep,
Is so important, for then you can leap,
From bed when you must finally get up,
And wise thoughts inspire, and, when we sup,
‘Tis more important to savor the food we eat
Than having great quantities, for, when food is a treat,
The quality of life is high,
as hope keeps us well and fit,
Rested, happy, hopeful thoughts mean good lives we get.
