Jesus 🙌

I dreamed that I saw Jesus;
Alive and living free.
But Jesus I said, they killed you dead;
As dead as dead can be.

“I’m alive!” He cried.
“I’m at your side.”
“I live where love begins.”

Then standing there, he held out his hands;
Blood stained from mortal sin.
And I was there with a piercing stare
That looked so deep within.

As l looked, I trembled and shook.
Just one glance was all it took.
What did I see?
What I saw was me.

How could this be?
For I’m not he?
I’m far too flawed
For what I saw.

Then he said;
“I’m here it’s true.”
“I live,” he said.
“I’m within you.”
