How we treat ourselves and talk to ourselves is how others will treat and speak to us.
It is that simple.
It took me years to realize this and when I did, I began being kinder to myself.
When we start to treat ourselves with kindness, compassion and respect, others will begin to do the same.
It may not happen overnight, but if we are consistent in our actions, eventually others will come around and for those that don’t well then perhaps it is time to distance yourself from them.
When you catch yourself say negative or hurtful things to yourself, ask if there is truth in your words.
I am sure that you will find that this is not the case.
We all at times can be hard on ourselves, but we must limit our negative self-talk and instead just be kinder to ourselves.
When we are more considerate and begin to love ourselves, we will be able to put more love into the world.
Learn to love yourself; you are worth it.
