Bible Story 💥

Some words of encouragement for today part of my daily Bible reading today was the continuing story of Joseph, who was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, framed by his master’s wife, and thrown into prison for years. Throughout all of this, his behavior was exemplary, and he found favor in whatever situation he was in. He never forgot his vision that he’d had as a youth when God gave him a hint of a future vastly different from the awful things he subsequently experienced.🌿

His eventual release and spectacular rise to prominence are another part of the story, which we won’t look at right now.🌿

As I was reading, I remembered the book “Hinds’ feet on high places” and the heroine of the story, a girl named Much-Afraid. She was called to the High Places by the Great Shepherd – a vision of a life vastly different from her mundane existence in the Valley. As her two guides – who were named Sorrow and Suffering – were leading her on her journey to the High Places, they led her into dark places where she could no longer see the High Places in the distance. She was frightened by this, certain that they’d taken a wrong path, but they assured her the path was the right one.🌿

Eventually, of course, the torturous, winding path led them to the desired goal – and she learned an awful lot on the way.🌿

The point of all of this, of course, is this: When your goal and vision seem further away than ever, it’s very likely exactly where God wants you. Embrace it, keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you on the right path.🌿

Life is like a bunch of roses. Some sparkle like raindrops. Some fade when there's no sun. Some just fade away in time. Some dance in many colors. Some drop with hanging wings. Some make you fall in love. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Life you can be sure of, you will not get out ALIVE.(sorry about that)
