#AceNewsReport – Apr.30: The lawsuit lists more than ten violations of the rights of detainees, including humiliation of human dignity, lack of medical assistance, hygiene products and sleeping places in the special detention center in Sakharovo:

Prisoners from Sakharovo will demand compensation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for torture conditions in a special detention center: The plaintiffs are 20 people who were detained at the winter rallies in support of Alexei Navalny, and then sent to serve administrative arrests in an isolation ward in New Moscow.

Each of the plaintiffs demands compensation in the amount of 90.4 thousand rubles. Thus, the total amount of the claim is 1.8 million rubles.

OVD-Info lawyer Dmitry Piskunov, representing the plaintiffs, said that in total 213 people detained at the rallies informed human rights defenders about the torture conditions in Sakharovo. If all of them join the lawsuit, the amount of claims against the Ministry of Internal Affairs will rise to 19 million rubles.
