Thinking about you Poem

Advertisements

β€œThinking about you,” a poem . . .
I’m thinking of you again, hoping you’re OK,Knowing things might not be easier, with each passing day.
None-the-less, I juggle memories of days gone by,They come up over and over, and I really do try,To hope for the best; I smile as I do,Thinking and dreaming all about you.
As we get older, it is hard to hold on,But harder to let go; who wants to be gone?
Our lives are an array of many complexities,Of travels and tastes, of the birds and the bees.We hold on, it’s true, to the good and the bad.A menagerie of richness can oft make us glad.
So, I’m thinking about you and trying to be strong,Hoping we stick around and always get along.

The story starts with Pen Friend a long time ago between the two countries of the world

The Adventures of The Misfits

A long time ago, Betty read in a Classified Advertisement in an American Comic Book looking for a Pen Friend in Argentina.

Keep in mind in those days we’re before the Internet and it was deemed to be very secretive way of life. Betty applied and over a 12 month period Betty was meeting the Postmaster at her letterbox carrying a shoebox for hundreds of letters arriving weekly from America.

Betty was swamped with news from America, a country she knew nothing about. Most of the names were written down wrong.

Most were from young boys asking inappropriate things she knew nothing about, but being an innocent young girl she wrote back thanking kindly for curiosity.

As the years ticked past , Betty developed a template to designate to each Pen Friend. Always a significant planner was she. Betty invented what we called Facebook and Twitter on her desk.

Duplication was invented as a Social media. With the arrival of the computer only with floppy disks, Betty began creating floppy discs to create a multifaceted floppy disk she sold to her Penfriends that created friendships instantly by email instead. Her list of groupies grew up in a new world. Not all good mostly full of Trolling.

Cyber grew up in a world-changing society. Remember this writing Cursor died out, lost where the skills and knowledge codes now lead our lives.

Chapter two

The following chapter opens many doors that will surprise and shock you about loyalties and the depraved.

Until we meet again on the 23rd May stay tuned

On this day of your life, I believe God wants you to know

… that there are few tools more effective
or more useful in achieving deep knowing,
true joy, and inner peace than daily meditation.

It would be very beneficial to take 15 minutes in the morning and
15 minutes in the evening β€” more if you can find it
β€” to be quiet with your Holy Self. Your consciousness
can be dramatically expanded over a relatively short period of time
with true dedication to such a gentle discipline.

Are you meditating regularly?
Is it the first thing you cut out of your day if things start off,
or begin to get, hectic? It should, of course, be the last thing.

Cherish Life that Abideth – William Morris

Advertisements Love is enough: cherish life that abideth, Lest ye die ere ye know him, and curse and misname him; For who knows in what ruin of all hope he hideth, On what wings of the terror of darkness he rideth? And what is the joy of man’s life that ye blame him For his […]

Through the Trouble and Tangle –

Advertisements Love is enough: through the trouble and tangle From yesterday’s dawning to yesterday’s night, I sought through the vales where the prisoned winds wrangle, Till, wearied and bleeding, at end of the light I met him, and we wrestled, and great was my might. O great was my joy, though no rest was around […]

You’re face haunts Me

Your face more than others’ faces Maps the half-remembered places I have come to I while I sleptβ€” Continents a dream had kept Secret from all waking folk Till to your face I awoke, And remembered then the shore, And the dark interior. ~

Hello Friends Acts of Kindness

Advertisements

Hello Friends, Wishing everyone an awesome day!!
We all have the ability and power to help one another. At any given moment we have the choice to say I can and will help someone. How we help others is also entirely up to us. When we help out fellow human beings it does not have to be a huge gesture or to help someone financially. It can be something simple like a few kind words of encouragement and support. Or it could be to help someone by spending time with them. When we help others it makes the world a better, kinder and more gentle place. When we help someone it comes from a place of love and not of fear.
We should always do any act of kindness unconditionally and without expectations and when someone helps us we should never forget the act of kindness and hold it dear to our hearts.
Sending everyone Positive Vibes and Love! Peace and Love, kindness

β€œThe Day God Apologized to Me.”

Advertisements

Can you forgive me for not doing all that was expected,For stumbling upon A Path of Hope, which we elected?
Can you forgiveΒ me now, for having failed, not been The Best,Having not had enough strength or health to pass a test?
Can you forgive me now for having hurt or disappointed,Not delivering all expected, not complete, disjointed?
Will love condemn and not forgive, with guilty hold forever,Or is there true forgiveness there, an ending to the β€œNever!”
You say, β€œGod is so strong and expectation must soar high,”Yet, I’m a weak and lowly servant, shattered, broken, shy.
Will all desire not delivered obscure forgiving heart? What has been has been; forgiveness blesses every start.

Can memes revive political satires and cartoons?

Advertisements

Humour is the foundation of a cartoon and it is its limitation. Attempts to rationalise humour in terms of today’s utilitarian social structure probably explain why political cartooning, and the genre of cartooning as a whole is a dying art. In a fast-paced environment such as the internet, memes emerged as a one-dimensional satirical illustration; they don’t engage with the issue and, therefore, their moral message and practical impact are limited.Β

Words To Keep You Going….

Fantasy

We have climbed the mountain. There’s nothing more to do. It is terrible to come down To the valley Where, amidst many flowers, One thinks of snow, As formerly, amidst snow, Climbing the mountain, One thought of flowers, Tremulous, ruddy with dew, In the valley. One caught their scent coming down. It is difficult to adjust, once down, To the absence of snow. Clear days, from the valley, One looks up at the mountain. What else is there to do? Prayer wheels, flowers! Let the flowers Fade, the prayer wheels run down. What have they to do With us who have stood atop the snow Atop the mountain, Flags seen from the valley? It might be possible to live in the valley, To bury oneself among flowers, If one could forget the mountain, How, never once looking down, Stiff, blinded with snow, One knew what to do. Meanwhile, it is not easy here in Katmandu, Especially when to the valley That wind which means snow Elsewhere, but here mean flowers, Comes down, As soon it must, from the heavens

Dark Poetry

This poem is not addressed to you. You may come into it briefly, But no one will find you here, no one.

You will have changed before the poem will. Even while you sit there, unmovable, You have begun to vanish. And it does no matter. The poem will go on without you. It has the spurious glamour of certain voids. It is not sad, really, only empty. Once perhaps it was sad, no one knows why. It prefers to remember nothing. Nostalgias were peeled from it long ago. Your type of beauty has no place here. The night is the sky over this poem. It is too black for stars. And do not look for any illumination. You neither can nor should understand what it means. Listen, it comes without guitar, Neither in rags nor any purple fashion. And there is nothing in it to comfort you. Close your eyes, yawn. It will be over soon.

You will forge the poem, but not before It has forgotten you. And it does not matter. It has been most beautiful in its erasures. O bleached mirrors!

Oceans of the drowned! Nor is one silence equal to another. And it does not matter what you think. This poem is not addressed to you.

MY PRECIOUS BURDEN

Advertisements

You have stepped into this heart of mine
Your dainty lotus feet urging toward me
Making my happy heart your abode
Forever and a day, beyond infinity

Now you remain a precious burden
I love to carry around, to me beholden
Wherever I happen to be, for all eternity
