“THE MOST FAMOUS POEM EVER FOUND.” a poem aka.: “Get Dirty And Love It.” December 3, 2019 (Tuesday)

Written with a bone, etched in blood,

I found this poem entitled: “MUD.” (pause)

It’s famous forWHATItContains, but also HOW it was done,

And WHAT it was done with. (pause) As blood did run,

It was done by a[n unknown] poet, who called himself “PAL.”

The content? Maybe Unremarkable, but it was written about a gal,

Whom he adored, who thought he was a dirty creep,

And he agreed; (pause) as he died, he did weep,

For bloody tears had fallen upon the cloth,

Which had been partially eaten [away],

By a greedy moth:

“I loved Gladys,” He wrote, “but she wouldn’t love me back.

I was never really sure WHY or what [it was] I did lack,

But now I know: NOTHING; she spurned me so I’d come,

And steal her away from all that made her numb.

I brought her to this place, and we loved for days,

Until this morning, in my arms she lays,

Bloodied and dead, for she had sacrificed,

Herself for love.” “Oh, Bloody Christ,”

SHE wrote: “I [always] loved you, and now I’m ready to die.”

[I guess the best future is one that makes us cry.]

“So, I am dying now too, and this, my last testament,

Which bequeaths to you’all my passing sentiment:

‘LIVE LIFE TO THE FULL, BUT YOUR INSANE DISPOSITION,

MAY BRING YOU TO AN UNTIMELY TRANSITION,

FOR, EVER SINCE I STRUCK THIS MORTAL BLOW,

I HAVE REALIZED. YES, THIS IS WHAT I KNOW:

LIFE IS FOR LIVING; LIVE AS LONG AS YOU CAN,

N E V E R SACRIFICE YOURSELF. BE A FOREVER MAN;

BATHE IN THICK M U D ; SWIM IN EVERY OCEAN.

YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT’S COMING NEXT;

DON’T LIMIT YOUR MOTION.’ “
