“GOOD ENOUGH TO KNEEL?” a poem Tuesday: December 3, 2019.

We say: “NO.” to drugs as we smugly go get,

The pills off our bloody shelves and then inject,

Substances? into our tender arms,

Bowing to ALL THE MEDICAL CHARMS.

We curse & curse all The Government Graft,

But then WE jump on “the benefit raft,”

Trying to “stay afloat,” yet, taking advantage of ANY,

CHANCE TO GET MORE, (pause)

And there are many.

We choose TRUMP as Evil’s “son lesser,”

And, when he’s mean, we just say: “YES’SIR,

THANKS FOR PROTECTING ‘OUR (rancid) BACK,’

BY INSURING THAT, at least for now, WE HAVE NO LACK.”

But in the end, hypocrites get to stack,

A bunch of rocks and develop The Knack,

Of “balancing what they say with what they do,”

And THAT’S WHAT WE’RE HERE FOR,

Swimming in this goo.

(We’re) black, shuddering, sluggish SLUGS:

Nasty girls and boys with ugly mugs,

In this Earthy, Hypocritical Cesspool of a Place,

Smiling (when we should be crying). THE HUMAN RACE,

(Is) RACING AROUND, CRITICIZING (everything and) EVERY ONE,

Until we realize: WE ARE THE CULPRITS, just having fun?

We have our clever hoaxes, and we have our favorite, fond strategies.

“Open Mouth; Insert Foot.”

Shall we kneel ? Down onOURknees?
