“ISSUES UPON ISSUES.” a poem October 31, 2019 (Thursday)

“You’ve got SO MANY ISSUES; how could you ever think that (you know)

WE COULD BE TOGETHER?”

“YOU’RE RIGHT; I’ve ISSUES. More than any change in the weather.”

ISSUES. ISSUES. They must be stacked a million miles high.

“There are so many issues, Ican’tDealWithThem; I’veSoManyTears in each eye.

What is love good for ANYWAY? There are SO MANY (issues) THERE,

When ‘the right one’ comes along, I know all my issues will tear,

US in TWO and break both our hearts;

THERE IS NO PLACE TO HIDE WHEN A TERRIBLE ISSUE STARTS,

UNRAVELING E V E R Y T H I N G, turning

LOVE INTO AGREEN, SLICK SLIME?

I just hate myLifeAndMyself, and I thought love was sublime;

BUT WAIT? O. M. G. What is this?

IsuddenlyHaveONLYoNE iSSUE, whenDidThisHappen?”

“Upon our FirstIrishKiss.”

“Dang. All my issues have COMPRESSED into one,

OneFunnyLittleIssue and LOVE, likeTheSun,

Is melting away MY ONE ISSUE, and what is this I see?

THAT thatONE ISSUE: IS JUST ABOUT ‘ACCEPTING ME,’

And ‘YOU’ acceptMeForMe, exactly as I am;

SUDDENLY, I’veGot NoIssue(s); I am just a Carefree ‘Femme,’

The perfect kind of person that you always dreamed I was;

ISSUES UPON ISSUES. Love’s vaporized them just because,

‘You Are Here,’ and, with you here, gracefully there is US,

AndNOW, aboutAllMyIssuesOrTheOnesIthoughtIusedToHave,

There’sNoMoreFuss. πŸ™‚ – Yay.
