“DANCE” a poem October 9, 2019 (Odin’s Day)

“Old School,” “New School,” LOVE & “The Dance,”

I grew up in an era whereYOU took your “best chance.”

You would find one, sweet person, who you’d “stay with for life;”

Just look at our marriage vows: “’til death,”as”husband & wife.” (pause)

“GoshThat’sBoring,” “Unnatural” and”Unrealistic,” SOME like to say;

Yeah, but I’m “from Montana;” I ride a pony all day,

Doing “the best I can” with my OneAndOnly*ONE. (pause)

IT SEEMED LIKE, forAlotOfUs, that was a whole lot more fun,

And comforting for your “mate” and sensible too,

So, you weren’t always looking for someone (else?) to screw,

Because “lovingApartner” ‘sNatural; I don’t think s _ x is “bad,”

ButNowIcan’tEvenSay IT because “IT’s INAPPROPRIATE, good lad.”

Well, I think what’s inappropriate is to TELL PEOPLE HOW TO VIEW,

NOTIONS OF S _ _ UALITY. (I think) peopleNeedSomethingElse to do,

Rather than tell me all the time that “This is bad, and this is good.”

Free expressionOfCourse isn’t a”mean” license,

AND, ifYouDon’tLikeMY”notions,” you always could,

Just choose NOT to associate with me, rather than tell me all the time,

About YOUR idea of “right & wrong,” which I think is more of a crime,

Than my using a few (so called) “dirty words,” or looking at naked pics. (pause)

Anyway, I have a beautiful “wife,” who I often “likes to licks,”

And (yes) do other stuff with, and I like to talk about,

S _ X, love and “gettin’ down” without censorsWantin’TaPout. (pause)

So, what I LIKE to do is to be “crazy in love” with YOU;

WeUsedToSay: “Bring IT HOME, Honey,” for a cuddle & a s _ _ _ w,

And, if I seesAfineSheela, walking in The Store,

Sure, I might stare a little, say: “You look good,” andEvenMOre,

I might write a love poem, but I always TRY to be NICE,

And not embarrass her (or him), butNOW (pause) about “spinning the dice,”

My dice are with “My Sweetie,” and she keeps ’em at HOME,

And, when I go to The Dance, I’m NOT there to roam;

I like to be WITH YOU and leaveWithYou afterwards,

And talk “dirty?” with you, using someArguably “dirty, butNotInappropriate,words,”

Like f _ _ _ , p _ _ _ , p _ _ _, lets smell, cuddle & kiss,

And I love “goin’ down” on my favorite MISS,

OnMy OAO, The One I Adore, My Old/NewSchool Honey, whom I love to the core.

We’ll dance and we’ll sweat in “an old fashioned way,”

Which is NEVER out of date, for we’re IN love night and day,

AND we bitch, argue and fight; those whoStayTogether willPlay;

I LOVE TO DANCE WITH YOU; ONEonONE’s QUITE OK.

“(My Man) OG.” a poem October 9, 2019 (Wednesday)

“(My Man) OG.” a poem October 9, 2019 (Wednesday)

Delores McPherson Amundsen Angee, said that: “I’veFound the’Perfect’Fella for me;

He’s kindly & gentle, artistic & passioned; myOtherHubbieSal wasOften’BadFashioned.’

Thank goodness Sal’s gone, he was awfully stupid;

Every womanGOThIM; he was always WELL CUPID’D.

I’m SO GLAD to be ridOfHim, so glad he’s long gone,

And now I’ve got OG; we two get along.

OG’s my ideal; he’s a comfortable gent; I’mSoAttractedToHim; HEis HEAVEN SENT.”

So, here is THE MOOD of thisHereLittle poem:

“Get to knowAnyOne and, bebe fore long,

You’ll rea lize they’reLacking inMany Ar E a[u]s,

Just like YOUR FAVORITEnephew or Uncle or ‘CUZ.’ “

“Well, maybe I’m right or maybe I’m wrong;

(Yet) my OG makes me swoon when he sings me a song,

(ButI’veNoticedNow) HeDoes things that (sometimes) make me go: ‘GOLL,’

And I wish SOMETIMES he might doSomethingElse, somethingMorelike Sal.

FOR INSTANCE: I had an operation just the other day;

I was stitched up and bruised; I was in An aw ful way,

And when my OG saw me, well, almostOverHeFell,

For he swooned with admiration. Yes, he gives Love SoWell.”

“I (almost) didn’ recognize you, Hon,” he said; “[you’re]SoPrettyNow.”

ME? I’ve got blood and stitches; his Sight’s “OFF” some how;

It seems the more harried and weird that I look,

That OG sees me MORE PRETTY, even when I sook.*

Thing is, beingLockedAway withOG for a day or two,

Makes me feel like Liz Taylor; then, do you know what we’ll do?

WE WILL GO FOR A WALK ‘ROUND THE PARK, AND PEOPLE RUN,

AND SCREAM, (pause) and one lady shotAtMe with her “45” gun,

‘Cause I looked quite a lot like an alien from H L L,

But MY OG’s loving eyes, well, they’ll NEVER this tell,

So, I can’t rely on OG or my dog very well,

To tellMe the neighbors’Reaction, whenI lookLikeI’veBeenDraggedFromAwell.

Dear Old Sal, atLeastHeWouldHaveLookedAtMe, looked at me and puked,

And told me I looked ghastly, and sometimes BlessedSal evenRebuked,

ME for “looking just like me,” or, sometimes a little better,

But now I got myOG, who is like an Irish Setter,

Who sits and looks and looks at me all throughout The Days,

And tells me I am pretty in a million different ways.

Moral: So, THERE ARE DISADVANTAGES even to myMan named OG;

I better get used to him, I guess; he’s like a loveStruckLittle dog.

“DON’T OVERLOOK THE POSSIBILITY OF MIRACLES.” a poem a.k.a.: “Love Can Make Everything New FOR YOU.” October 9, 2019 (Thursday)

“DON’T OVERLOOK THE POSSIBILITY OF MIRACLES.” a poem a.k.a.: “Love Can Make Everything New FOR YOU.” October 9, 2019 (Thursday)

There’s a NEW order in An Old Order, but you have to believe,

That LOVEcanMAKEitALLnew. CanYou? CONCEIVE,

OF: “LivingHappilyEverAfter?” just like in a fairy tale?

KIDS think so, THEY REALLY DO, with out ANY fail.

MAGIC, IT can HAPPEN. Gravity CAN BE defied,

Even WHEN ALL OTHERS say: “You ARE FOOLS, WHO have lied;

You CAN’T DO THAT, you MUST drop your silly notions.”

Well, phooey to those who are just going through “THEIR PRECONCEIVEDmotions,”

Of trying to ACTlikeBELIEVERS; TRUE BELIEVERS REALLY DO,

Believe in MIRACLES. How about me and you?

I think: IF YOU STARE LONG ENOUGH you REALLY DO get lost,

In to your BELOVED’S EYES, and I think AT ANY COST,

You should OVERLOOK “reality,” REALITY OF Others, i.e.: “What we see and hear,”

Because, my Honey, I think itIs REALLY Crystal Clear,

That WHAT IS NOT SEEN, which lies “beneath THIS STUFF,”

Is REAL? too. JustLookAtScience, my “science buff,”

And you’ll see the THINGS INVISIBLE to our eyes,

Are stillHappening all the time & WE DON’T NEED ANSWERS TO ALL OUR WHYS;

All we need is BELIEF that LOVE can Move Mountains and stop the mightiest storm,

& I JUST LOVE IT IN YOUR ARMS, where IT’S soft and warm,

And WAY INSIDE YOUR BOSOM, THERE LOVE LIES ALL THE TIME;

OVERLOOKING “THAT” REALITY IS PERHAPS THE BIGGEST CRIME.

JUST BELIEVE: THAT WE CAN LIVE FOREVER,

AND THAT, EVEN IF EVERYONE SAYS “NEVER,”

IT STILL MIGHT HAPPEN; IT MIGHT BE TRUE,

AT LEAST FOR BELIEVERS. SO, WHAT’LL WE DO? (PAUSE)

WHATEVER YOU THINK, MICROSCOPES SEE MAGIC ALL THE WHILE,

WHY FOLKS DISPUTE ATOMS; LET’S TRAVEL: “THE MIRACLE MILE,” TOGETHER, AND WE’LL “COME OUT ON THE OTHER SIDE,”

A PLACE WHERE FAIRIES, ANGELS & DWARFS LIKE TO HIDE.

LET’S BE MAGICAL, AND TRY TO DISREGARD,

WHAT “THEY” “SAY” IS TRUE AND FALSE; SURE, MAYBE I’M A RETARD,

OR MAYBE FAITH MAKES THE FOOL SOMEWHAT WISE;

yES, I’M LOST; LOST I TELL YOU. LOST. IN YOUR DEEP, BLUE EYES.

“HEARTS.” a poem for Brian my best friend โœŒ๏ธOctober 9, 2019 (Wednesday, Karaoke Night at The Railroad Blues, Alpine, Texas, U. S. A.)

“HEARTS.” a poem for Brian October 9, 2019 (Wednesday, Karaoke Night at The Railroad Blues, Alpine, Texas, U. S. A.)

Brian’s heart is pure & good, andSince”God”IsA “HEART READER,”

Brian’sGotNothingToWorryAbout; he IS a “spiritual leader;”

HE SETS THE PACE AND TRAVELS THE COURSE,

Riding on Good Ol’ Handsome, The Horse,

And, as they go from mailbox to BOX,

They’re checkin’ for letters, to find one THAT TALKS.

“A TALKING LETTER,” says Brian; “THERE’S ONE;”

You just PRESS THE CARD and hopefully have some fun:

THAT CARD says: (pause) “Hi, Brian; you have vio lated,

Federal Laws because you’ve confiscated,

THIS GREETING CARD, so, you’re in BIG trouble.”

So, BRIAN PUTS THAT ONE BACK ๐Ÿ™‚ – Yes, “on the double.”

Then, Handsome & Brian go to another BOX; Brian says:”That card wasn’t too good.”

ANOTHER BOX might have a card, youKnow one that would,

Say: “Hi, Brian; this card’s for you; you can give it to your daughter who’s feeling ‘blue,’ Because no one’s sending her cards, and SHE THINKS SHE’S CRAZY,

Because she wants to go check out mail boxes.” Is it ’cause she’s lazy?

Or MAYBE she just doesn’t want to spend money on an expensive greeting card;

She just wants to send oneQUICK to her daddy, who’s taking life pretty hard,

Because he THINKS that maybe he failed his sweet girl,

BUT Brian ALWAYS DID THE BEST HE COULD, using theBest neural,

PathwaysOrTransmitters heCouldFind, and, since His Heart is PURE,,

EVERYTHING WILL TURN OUT WELL FOR HIM; of thisA I’m SO sure;

And for his sweetDaughter too, who’s having an equally hard time,

Negotiating The World, but her pure heart echoes a gloriously similar rhyme:

OF HOPE & GreetingCards & a daughterAndHerDad,

And mommies and puppy dogs and goodTimes that we HAD,

And GOOD TIMES TO COME and A HOPEFUL, PURE HEART.

AnotherCardSays: “Glad tidings for YOUall TODAY.” (pause) Let’s start,

Only finding greeting cards with a pleasant, loving theme;

As Art(h)ur Rubenstein has said: “Israel,* I deem:

(That) IF YOU’RE GOOD TO LIFE, LIFE’ll be good TO YOU,

And NOT questioning Pure Hearts is a very good thing to do.”

AND IT’S GOOD EVEN IF EVERYONE GIVES YOU A HARD TIME,

For, following the leadings of PURE HEARTS will yield a glorious rhyme.
