VAMPIRES vs. CROSS ✝️

“VAMPIRES vs. THE CROSS[es]!” a poem a.k.a.: “Vampires vs. Angels!” 4 June 2019 (Tue [2] sday)

Vampires were “storming’ The Mystic Poet Pawn Shop! I-said:-“What’s-up?”
[in a Transylvanian accent their “leader” said:]
“We’re here for all your CROSSES and-do-not-care-to-SUP,
On-your poetic fluids, since, [frankly] WE DON’T LIKE YOUR BLOOD!”
“OK,” says I; “so, you want the crosses, Count Bud?”
“YES! and-we’ll-pay-for-them-with-sufficient-leu*-too!”
“WHY [do] you want crosses?” “It’s-got-NOTHING-to-do-with-you;
We just HATE crosses!” “Is it a ‘supernatural thing? ‘ “
“NO! They’ve-no-physical-im-pact; we-just-hate the FAKENESS which they bring,
For people want and use crosses and think it makes them HOLY!”
“Well, what about YOU,” I said, “making necks so bloody hole-y?
Aren’t-you-ALSO BEING FAKE, acting mean and tough!”

“ENOUGH!” said the blood sucker[s]; “just give us [all] your cross stuff!”

So, the vampires left, with many crosses in hand,
And then they went to other pawn shops and stores through the land,
Because: PEOPLE WITH CROSSES WHO TRY TO DO GOOD ARE ACTING FAKE!

I guess “fake” IS pretty bad, for go[o]dness’ sake,
BUT! so-is-being-biting-and-mean-and-spooky-on-purpose!
That’s fake too, isn’t it? WE ALL, I think, BELONG IN A 3-RING CIR-CUS,
Which is REALLY exactly where we’re at,
IN A TRINITY OF 3-DIMENSIONS! Enter: The White Dove! & The Bloody Bat,
Just people-TRYING-to-be-good-and-those-acting-bad! Both, ACTING-OUT!
Aren’t we all that way? INAUTHENTIC! armed with a fake smile or a pout?

Don’t all folks CHOOSE – to be either: “holy & nice” OR “vile & impure?”
[We’re] A BUNCH OF “FAKIRS,”** aren’t we? I think! Fo’ -sure!
Sometimes, I act “bad” – and sometimes “good;”
AREN’T THEY TOO [2] SIMILAR, but I-really DON’T-wish I could,
Be JUST one or the other or another or that!
I’m Only Human, drowning-in-Holy-Water and/or washed in the blood of a bat!
