Will CUDDLES come back? Will-She-be-here-today? – – –
I-only-can-hope, so I simply must PRAY! – – –
“Please, Heaven-Above-I-need-her close by! – – –
To comfort my soul!” There’s a tear in my eye! – – –
“Oh, Lordy – Lord!-Lordy! I’m ‘losing it’ now! – – –
The tears they are streaming! I’ve lost her, my gal! – – –

Oh, Lordy, I-should-a known! I-am such-a-jerk! – – –
To-let-her-go-means: She’ll-go straight-back-to-work! – – –
And-work-so-flat-out, I’m sure she’ll forget! – – –
That-I-need my-sweet-Honey! I’m needing my-pet!” – – –

I can not go on, as I look all around, – – –
But nothing of-my CUDDLES-’round-here-have-I-found! – – –
So, I jump in the sea, to never swim back!
And I’m-a-bad swimmer, the strokes do I lack! – – –
I go down! again! and-again!- Oh, my – my! – – –
And these are my tears – in my-“tear-sea,” I’ll-die! – – –

But, wait! in the distance, I see a lone maid! – – –
She’s swimming right-toward me, as-my-life now doth fade! – – –
Yet, at-the-last-moment, I feel these arms! – – –
The arms of an angel, who’s-a-“mermaid of charms!” – – –
Yes, yes, it is CUDDLES ! She’s made it to me! – – -and now she resuscitates – Her-Man-of-The-Sea! – – –

I open my eyes, and we’re both on the shore! – – – It-is now tomorrow, she says, “How you snore!” – – – and I-look, very-deeply! into-[her] aq-u-a eyes, – – -and, then-I-think!-Suddenly! Yes, I-realize! – – – That I am now seeing things – through-“Eyes-That-Aren’t-Dim!” – – – and we are The Sea! He-is Her!-She-is-Him! – – – and our waves and our raves – are drowned out in the motion! – – – of every last tear, in-ev- ery-ocean! – – – Where water and sand – and sunshine and sky, – – – Merge into one – Yes, perhaps I did die! – – – or – perhaps WE were born, for to see(a) a new dawn! – – – CUDDLES! and-her-Cuddly-Poo are-now suddenly-GONE!
