~Russell Means, Oglala Lakota Nation

โ€œBefore I was six years old, my grandparents and my mother had taught me that if all the green things that grow were taken from the earth, there could be no life. If all the four-legged creatures were taken from the earth, there could be no life. If all the winged creatures were taken from the earth, there could be no life. If all our relatives who crawl and swim and live within the earth were taken away, there could be no life. But if all the human beings were taken away, life on earth would flourish. That is how insignificant we are.โ€ ~Russell Means, Oglala Lakota Nation

“KEY ADVICE!” a poem a.k.a.: “Life of the Fall!” March 3, 2019 (Sunday morning)

“The Best? How will we know?”
I answered my friend, who wished for The Best: “To-The-Best? Where do you go?”

For we are all told – what The Best is! but-really – Who the heck knows!
Why not ASSUME, as you start each new day – that-your amazing-life-shows,
Up with The Best? So-you need-never strive, to-seek wherever you be!
If- ou treat-your-life that-way-Good-Friends, doesn’t that give you a key?
A Key to CONTENTMENT & FEARLESS GOOD WILL, to open all doors that appear!
Can’t you then walk with a happy, good humor – and-stop-always courting this fear?

For fear tends to put us IN BOXES OF SAFETY, which-can-feel restrictive and can,
Obscure your vision(s) and make life quite dull – and limit the scope of a plan,
To live life with gusto – and laughing with smiles,
And-there-on-The-Horizon, LOVE-BEAKONS TO ALL,

Quote ~ I need a Freind ~ Help me make it through the night ~

Help me Lord
I need you

Prayer for Encouragement

Prayer for Encouragement

am no longer my own but yours,
Put me to what you will
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed for you or laid aside for you.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal
And now glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
You are mine and I am yours. So be it.
And this covenant now made on earth, let it be satisfied in heaven.

Australian Politics ( Labour) ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

Bill Shorten is my Shepherd, I shall not want:

He will leadeth me beside still factories and abandoned farms.

He will restoreth my faith about the Liberal Party,

He will annointeth my wages with taxes and inflation,

So my expenses runneth over my income.

Surely poverty and hard living shall follow if Labor win

Five thousand years ago Moses said:

“Pack your Camels pick up your shovels, move your arses,

and I will lead you to the Promised Land.”

Five thousand years later Bill said:

“Lay down your shovels, sit on your arses, light up a joint. This is the Promised Land”.

Next election Bill could take your shovel, sell your camel,

kick your arse and tell you he gave away the Promise Land.

I’m glad I’m Australian, I’m glad I’m free.

But I wish I were a dog and Bill was a tree.

Mental Hacks to Be More Confident in Yourself ~ Business

Mental Hacks to Be More Confident in Yourself

1. Push through self-limiting beliefs.
As children we think we can conquer the world, but somewhere between childhood and adulthood, our enthusiasm and natural inclinations to dream big are squashed. Parents and teachers start imposing their own beliefsโ€”about what we can and canโ€™t do in lifeโ€”upon us. If the instructors at the FBI Academy were not pushing us past our self-limiting beliefs, they werenโ€™t doing their job.

How to make it work for you:
Find your limits by exposing yourself to different situations and pushing through the uncomfortable. Once you have confidence in yourself, youโ€™ll be amazed what you can accomplish.

2. Never confuse memory with facts.
Our memory does not store information exactly as itโ€™s presented to us. Instead we extract the gist of the experience and store it in ways that makes the most sense to us. Thatโ€™s why different people witnessing the same event often have different versions.

Your brain has a built-in confirmation bias. That means it stores information that is consistent with your own beliefs, values and self-image. This selective memory system helps keep the brain from getting overloaded with too much information.

So recognize that your memory does not always provide you with accurate information. For example if you have low self-esteem, your brain tends to store information that confirms your lack of confidence. That will be all you remember about a specific event.

How to make it work for you:
Revisit the facts of a memory loaded with self-limiting beliefs and try to gain a more accurate perspective on the event. Talk with others that might have a different perspective.

3. Talk to yourself.
This might seem crazy, but it works. Talking to yourself can make you smarter, improve your memory, help you focus and even increase athletic performance. The documentary The Human Brain claims we say between 300 to 1,000 words to ourselves per minute. The Navy SEALS and Special Forces use the power of positive self-talk as a way of getting through tough times.

For example by instructing recruits to be mentally tough and speak positively to themselves, they can learn how to override fears resulting from the limbic brain system, a primal part of the brain that helps us deal with anxiety.

How to make it work for you:
Be positive, because the way you talk to yourself influences your neurobiological response to it. When you say, I know what to do here or see things as a challenge rather than a problem, youโ€™ve turned your response into a positive one.

4. Think positive to overcome your negativity bias.
Since the early days, humans learned to get lunch or be lunch. Our natural negativity bias has kept us safe from danger for thousands of years. But not every new or different thing is a threat to our survival. This negativity bias can chisel away at our confidence because weโ€™re hardwired to pay attention to all that weโ€™ve done wrong.

FBI agents are taught to hunt the good stuff. It can be hard at times because positive information is like Teflon and easily falls away. But negative information, like Velcro, sticks.

How to make it work for you:
Come up with five positive thoughts to counter every one negative thought.
Let every positive thought sit for 20 seconds before moving to the next positive thought.
Acknowledge both good and bad emotions.
Do not try to suppress negative ones.
Label the emotions for what they truly are and move on. Do not enter into inner dialogue about the negative emotion because then it becomes more powerful.

5. Raise your curiosity levels.
Curiosity is an important trait for FBI agents working investigations and anyone who wants to be confident and successful.

Curiosity is the foundation of life-long growth. If we remain curious, we remain teachable and our minds and hearts grow larger every day. We can retain our beginnerโ€™s mind by always looking forward and discovering new experiences and uncovering new information.

How to make it work for you:
Ask questions and be curious because:
It makes your mind active instead of passive.
It encourages you to be more observant of new ideas.
It opens up new worlds and possibilities.
It creates an adventurous response that leads you in a new direction.

6. Overcome self-doubt.
If you lack self-confidence, you will always feel like youโ€™re at the mercy of other people. When you assume a victim mentality, you are no longer resilient to lifeโ€™s inevitable obstacles and roadblocks.

FBI agents go where they are needed, not to where they feel most comfortable. I was assigned investigations I had no idea how to solve. But my thinking was this: Drop me into the middle of any squad or any situation, anywhere, anytime. I will not be scared because I am confident I will succeed wherever I am.

How to make it work for you:
No one but you is stopping you from achieving what you want to accomplish. Itโ€™s time to identify the areas in which you doubt yourself and remove those barriers.

7. Face your fears.
When we feel in control, weโ€™re not afraid. When we have a level of comfort with something, itโ€™s not scary. When we donโ€™t feel in control, we donโ€™t think clearly because our emotional brain is in the driverโ€™s seat and takes over. This is why fear often seems random and irrationalโ€”our emotions are in control.

To increase safety, FBI agents are taught to move closer to the threat. It does no good to avoid, deny or ignore the fear.

How to make it work for you:
Harvard Medical School professor Ronald Siegel recommends this in his book, The Mindfulness Solution:

Think about your worst fear. Spend time with it. Now make your fear worse by getting closer to it. Imagine the worst that could happen. Now focus on your breathing. Feel your body relax. See, you didnโ€™t die, did you? Youโ€™re on your way to conquering your fear.

If you donโ€™t believe in yourself, how do you expect anybody else to? Start today.

“How Mr. Cuddly Found His Honey Mrs. Cuddly Poo!”

“MY FAVORITE!” a poem in the series: “Mr. & Mrs. Cuddly Poo!” 03/02/19 [Sat.]
a.k.a.: “How Mr. Cuddly Found His Honey Mrs. Cuddly Poo!”

If a person oft’ complains [of] how cold it-is in November,
It’s safe to assume [that] they’ll complain of summer heat, so-remember:
For better or worse – or-for UP – and – DOWN,
A complainer will often – “sport” a long frown,
Not because they must, BUT-’cause: We-all-need-something-to-do,
And complaining is a great habit! and!-It’s nothing new,
Are offering such stuff! “Aa-round-The-old-Clock!”
But-these-“unpleasant,” analyzing – and reactive guys,
Aren’t much fun after a while! So, you might-just-get-wise!

And hang-out-with: BASHFUL, for-[s]he-blushes and “bats,”
Her[his] beautiful eyes, and-you-know, REALLY! that’s,
The GLORY – and pleasure – of-a-sensitive-friend,
Who-will support-you ‘specially-in-the-end!

Also!-HAPPY’s-quite-nice, to-have around,
As-long-as-it’s-not-“mean-happy,” then, Happy is bound,
To smile quite a lot – and kiss-you-with-a-laugh,
And-Happy often- makes-your-“better half!”

But, IF you’re still wondering – about-Dwarf-No. 7,
Well-[s]he’s-the-one who-will-travel! with-you-straight-to-“Heaven!”
[S]he-will-say: “Do-me-eternally! Upright! and-sassy,
Cuddle-me! Kiss-me! ’til-the morning light!
For, I’ll-make-you-feel real-warm-and right!
In-the-direction of-LOVE – and I’ll surely send,
You-and-me, Honey – TO-THE-MOON AND-BACK,
Holding you lovingly – sweet in “the sack!”

THAT’S RIGHT! No. 7 – [is]-your-favorite-[squaw]-in-the-teepee!
[S]he’s got it all – It’s-your-Cuddly-Poo – SLEEPY! ๐Ÿ™‚ – zzzzz – zounds!
