Lord, we pray for the power to be gentle;
the strength to be forgiving;
the patience to be understanding;
and the endurance to accept the consequences
of holding to what we believe to be right.
May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil
and the power of love to overcome hatred.
We pray for the vision to see and the faith to believe
in a world emancipated from violence,
a new world where fear shall no longer lead men to commit injustice,
nor selfishness make them bring suffering to others.
Help us to devote our whole life and thought and energy
to the task of making peace,
praying always for the inspiration and the power
to fulfill the destiny for which we and all men were created.
Make it one of your goals to develop a dynamic, charismatic personality. Such a quality is something each one of us has the potential to develop, but few do. President Kennedy was a sickly youth but rose above his physical problems to be the most charismatic and exciting political figure in the history of the United States. Start small. Take a Dale Carnegie course on public speaking. Go to the library where you will find books on the fine art of conversation and personal grooming. Learn three clean and witty jokes and get in the habit of socialising. You will have fun and build a lasting network of friends and associates.
On the subject of conversation, a Chinese proverb states as follows: “a single conversation across the table with a wise man is worth a month’s study of books.” Seek out the wise and learn from them. They are just waiting for that small spark of interest to tell you all that you need to know.
Lao-Tzu prized three essential qualities for a person of greatness: “the first is gentleness; the second is frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle, and you can be bold; be frugal, and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others, and you can become a leader among men.”
“When you cannot make up your mind which of two evenly balanced courses of action you should take – choose the bolder,” said W. J. Slim. There is no substitute for courage, and though the chance of stubbing your toe increases the more you walk, it is always better than going nowhere by standing still. Take chances, take smart risks, and you will meet with success beyond your dreams.
Become your spouse’s number one supporter, the one who is always there supporting and fueling hopes and dreams. Develop together and march confidently through the world as an army of two.
Think of three people who can provide you with inspiration, motivation and support for your goals and aspirations. Plan to meet with each one of them over the next few weeks. Listen enthusiastically to them and brainstorm with them. Map out a strategy and take their wise counsel.
Make every one of your days a true masterpiece. Remember the old saying: “it’s not who you think you are that holds you back but what you think you’re not.”
Just as valuable energy is wasted by spending time on activities that are of no value, energy can be wasted on loose thinking. Imagine that your mind has an energy measure of 1000 watts at its disposal. Each time your mind wanders off the project at hand, to a nagging worry, to all the things to do by the end of the day, 100 watts is lost. Quite soon the entire energy supply is gone. This is the nature of the mind. Fail to discipline it, and your energy levels will be depleted, and your accomplishments will be minimal. Control it, and you will see great things happening. You will feel more powerful and achieve difficult tasks with ease. The 19th-century philosopher Henri Frederic Amiel summed it up nicely: “for purposes of action, nothing is more useful than narrowness of thought combined with the energy of will.”
It has been rightly said that “you sow an action, you reap a habit. You sow a habit; you reap a character. You sow a character; you reap a destiny.” The essence of a person is his character – make yours unique, unblemished and strong. Do not say you will do anything unless you will indeed do it. Speak the truth and measure your words wisely. Be humble, straightforward and peaceful.
Remember the overriding law of nature: positive overcomes the negative.
In the final days that I walked with you as one like yourself My love and the will of the Father urged me on to share many miracles and speak of my home in heaven for you to come to. I had grown close to many of you and I prayed to my Father to watch over you and that the plan we had devised would remove all things that were not of loving light but to do this I was to remove the penalty of sin. I knew what I was to go through was going to be pain beyond words, yet I was ready to fillfull the plan for my love for all was over whelming. One thing I did not understand was when on the cross my father would turn from me and I came to be only pain and my heart thoughts screamed for my Father . Recorded in your books is “why Father have you deserted me” Then the end came. The reason for this happening was that I carried the full weight of the sin you all had so you could be free and come home to me and I would send the Holy Spirit to guide you to only levels of love beyond that which you can imagine at this time. Today , this moment I am with you and My Spirit most holy on being asked will guide you. Not one of you is without hope if you have accepted my love for the time grows near to your revelations being fulfilled.
Most dearest and Holy Jesus My tears are not numbered for the gratefulness I have running through me as you shared this with me. Most beautiful one guide your words to all who need to hear, let your will be done. <3. In the Fathers completeness let it be done.
“HOLIDAY TIME GIFT BAG!” a poem a.k.a.: “Sonic Friends Forever!” Friday: January 4, 2019!
I got me a Sonic Gift Card, from Eva and Ellen,
And-it was in a gift bag, which no one was sellin’!
‘Cause IT – was a gift of variety-and-notoriety-for-Holiday-time!
And I’m not sure IF I can even complete this rhyme,
‘Cause I feel SO VERY SPECIAL – that I might just cry,
But I’ll TRY – to hold it together! Yeah! at-least-I’ll-try!
JUST THINK ABOUT IT: That out-o’ billions, I was-such-a-precious-soul,
With 1-or-2 others, we got special gift bags! and they had no coal!
But-NOW -I ain’t saying that coal wouldn’t be great!
Yet, WE – got these great gift bags for The Holidays, mate!
AND (pretty long pause – to wipe away a tear or two)
I also got a card – and a mug! so I can always tote,
Hot or Cold beverages!! even-when – I go-out to vote!
And, of course, I got me this wonderful, sparkling nice-bag-carrier,
Which also contained a SCRATCH CARD, which made me even merrier –
Even though – after scratching – I didn’t win a thing!!
STILL! – that folks thought enough of me (and Vance) (and Giggles) to even bring,
A GIFT BAG – and also feed us PIZZA! soda! and chips!
And pecan pie, to pad our hips!
So, IF we fall, we won’t injure our side;
WHAT A WONDERFUL BLESSING! My-gratitude, I can’t hide!
So! I just GOTTA-write – to-say-to-Ellen-&-Eva “THANKS!”
& (I found out!) The-gift-certificate-is-worth-10-bucks – at-any-of-The-Sonic-Banks!”
So I-can get me – a wonderful burger and fries!
And, when they serve ’em up, “the girl”-might-ask: “Who cries?
In THAT car over there!? It was JUST – a Sonic Gift Card,
Not even worth a thousand dollars!” WELL, IT’S NOT HARD,
To be very appreciative, when you feel so especially thought about,
Around HOLIDAY TIME! There are MANY! even without,
Family or friends – They’re just “locked in,” alone!
It’s great to be appreciated! OH, LOOK! Someone calls-on-my Holiday Phone:
And I’ll tell them that: “I also got a DREAM BOOK, that I’ll set beside my bed,
And CANDY CANES too!! White! &-red!”
So, with my Dream Book in place – and – sweetness on my lips,
I’ll dream about The Dr. Pepper that, with my pizza, I drank – in sips! 🙂 – Mmm!
“My Name Is Trump!” a poem January 4, 2019 (Friday)
My-name is TRUMP! BUT -that-is-a-“trick,”
‘Cause I-don’t- play-Bridge – I-used-to-be: HICK!
So, I-changed my name – for I-love to-win,
Much-more than the rest! and – Is-it a “sin?”
When-you-think your mission,
Is: to-“win” all the time,
Yes, it-must-be “sublime!?”
Yet, when-I-“cross-eth over,” to-regions unknown,
I’m-afraid “those folks” there’ll-say: “Mr.-Trump, you’re-alone!
And you’re STILL – just “a hick,”
For THAT NAME – was YOUR pick,
Just before – you went “down,”
To new-Queens, New York town!
Mixed-with sweet, sweet civility!
IT’S-ABOUT-PRIDE! (pause) You-gotta leave!
So, I’ll need to come back,
To this place! (with-the) name o’ HACK!
I just hope that my pride,
Will not cause me to hide,
From my need to learn “mild!”
And be humble, not (so) wild!
Yet, knowing my soul,
I might “hack,” gain control,
Of this place that’s so tricky!
Filled with honey! – So sticky,
TRUE FREEDOM’s only-found,
If HUMILITY’s around!
For this World holds on –
And-makes-The-Proud-One – its “pawn!”
