Clouds come from time to time
and bring to men a chance to rest
from looking at the moon.
Traditional Haiku written by Japanese poet Matsuo Basho (1644-1694)

Suzuki Shōnen ‘Moon in Clouds’ – hanging scroll, late to early
19th century, Japan ( Feinberg Collection)

Life is like a bunch of roses. Some sparkle like raindrops. Some fade when there's no sun. Some just fade away in time. Some dance in many colors. Some drop with hanging wings. Some make you fall in love. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Life you can be sure of, you will not get out ALIVE.(sorry about that)

  1. Bashō is one of my very favourite poets and I don’t care that people think that it makes me seem old and weird, I love his haiku! Thanks for this very nice way how to make my day a bit more beautiful, thanks for that I could find this in my feed! 🙂
