“MIRRORS D O L I E , CHARLIE!” a poem 29 June 2018 Friday –
a.k.a.: “Charlie Chaplin, The Comedy Film Star, Once Said That Mirrors Do Not Lie, In That They Will Not Laugh When You Are Crying And Vice Versa ; Well, I Disagree! Mirrors DO LIE Sometimes; They Get Cracked AND Not All Little Girls Are That Pretty AND Computers Get Hacked!”
Mirrors lie – it’s not good or bad;
They just DO; so, don’t get mad!
Just remember! Even-when-they’re-reflecting-fine,
It’s ALL REVERSED AROUND A VERTICAL LINE!
So – your reflection’s NOT what THEY really-see,
Other folks – Well, they’re just reversing me!
And SNOW WHITE, My Dears – Was NEVER as fair,
As The “Evil” Queen, who liked to stare,
TO INSURE HER FACE WAS NUMBER ONE,
Well, I-think-it-was – She’s-SO lovely, Hon!
She DIDN’T have to cast a spell on her,
To give an apple to that little cur;
SNOW WHITE BRIBED THE MIRROR, YOU-KNOW,
Shined it up – for a deal TO GO!!
IF the mirror would just say a little, white lie,
To The FAIRER Queen,
Right before her eye!
(I have always thought)
The Queen’s more fair, FAIR by FAR:
Her Porsche car!
I’m telling y’all – THAT QUEEN IS HOT,
To pass-White-as-gorgeous? Well, she’s not.
FAIR? Don’t think so! CUTE? OK!
But I’ll always save CUTE – for another day!
FAIR BABES ARE SHAPELY, DIRTY AND FINE –
I VOTE: THE QUEEN –
For my Valentine!
