โ€œITโ€™S (REALLY) EASY TO BE HUMBLE!โ€๐ŸŒŸโญ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒโ˜€

โ€œITโ€™S (REALLY) EASY TO BE HUMBLE!โ€ a poem, 750 poems so far on Tumblr (and counting!) a.k.a.: โ€œI Feel Another Hissy Fit Coming On! Help Me! What Am I To Do?โ€ Wednesday: June 20, 2018!

Consider all the tears youโ€™ve cried;

Consider how-very hard youโ€™ve tried,

To amount to ANYTHING (pause) at anytime!

Consider! That-youโ€™ve-committed-EVERY-crime! ๐Ÿ™‚

And, on any day, youโ€™ve no recourse,

But-to-go-and-pet the Handsome Horse,

Who lives nearby, just up the street,

And is confined, so you may greet,

HIM there – confessing (that) another day,

Has appeared! Well,

Shall we pray?

With-or-without the prayers of men,

Whether (youโ€™re) atheist, Jew or Zen!

Your frail frame SEEMS strong sometimes,

You-IMAGINE-your-mind can make some rhymes –

YET, EVEN-ONE-PIN-PRICK CAN DRIVE YOU DOWN, WITH TETANUS OR DEATH, YOU CLOWN!

The boys, with feathers fluffed up nice,

Are-trying-to-attract-girls,

Filled-with sugar-and-spice?!

The girls, convinced they-can-control-The-World,

Just want ONE boy, beside them, curled,

Whispering gently – in their ear,

โ€œMy Sweet pea! Thereโ€™s-nothing-to-fear!โ€

AND – that their lives will be OK,

And-theyโ€™ll-live; โ€œYes-weโ€™ll-live, for Many A Day,

And we-wonโ€™t age quickly or lose our hair,

And, IN MY EYES, YOUโ€™RE ALWAYS FAIR,

And always proper and worthwhile too,

And thereโ€™s a God, whoโ€™s loving you?!โ€

But, REALLY! Who-knows? and – REALLY? Who-cares?

Weโ€™ll hold,

So Tightly,

Exchanging stares,

Into-our-sad-eyes, filled with fright,

HOPING WE MIGHT LAST THE NIGHT,

Hoping-the-morrow will come, and-Iโ€™ll-see,

Your sweet self, next to me,

Itโ€™s-not-hard-to-be-humble, when thereโ€™s no guarantee,

About-your-next-breath – coming to Thee?!

SO, BREATHE A BIT! SIGH AND CRY!

FOR-IN-OUR-FRIDGE, THEREโ€™S STILL-SOME-HUMBLE-PIE! ๐Ÿ™‚ -leftover form last night!!
