“ETERNAL VOWS!” a poem. Wednesday: May 2, 2018 –
I-was-so-sad, the day you died,
You’ll never know how much I cried,
But YOU CAME BACK; I was so glad,
And, now, I am your bonny lad.
Perhaps IF-I’D-KNOWN THAT YOU-CAN’T-DIE.
THAT YOU’RE IMMORTAL (AND THAT’S NO LIE),
IF I HAD KNOWN, BACK THEN, THAT MUCH (pause)
THAT, FOR-YOU, DEATH-CAN-NOT-TOUCH,
If I had known that you won’t die, UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO,
BYE AND BYE,
I would no-longer have to sigh, and I could look you in the eye,
And pray your Sacred Heart won’t break,
‘Cause no one loves you,
Enough to keep you in this “zoo!”
More than life, I love you true,
And-I’m-so-happy you are mine,
You know, it’s you for whom I pine,
You are so precious, I my sight,
ETERNAL VOWS ARE OUR DELIGHT!
