“ROOMMATES!?” a.k.a.: “Misery LOVES Company!” March 25, 2018 Sunday.
HAPPINESS lives above me – in the “loft!”
When (s)he passes, (s)he is so soft –
And warm to touch and offers smiles,
Often walks, For miles and miles!
Today (upon) returning – TO THE ABODE,
HAPPINESS HAD BROUGHT A TOAD!
A green and slimy little guy (gal),
Who hopped around and was (so bi-) (a pal!)
And liked to be in THE BIG SINK,
Where Happiness could take a drink,
Of fine rum punch, with spiced orange peel,
That night! I heard the reptile squeal!
Next morning, When-Happiness-took-his(her)-walk,
The toad looked sad; we called The Doc,
Who said (that) the toad would hop no more,
(S)he had been crushed, by a large door!
Which accidentally closed too fast,
HAPPINESS! How can it last?
Especially when you’re green and cold,
And live-in-a-sink – It’s what I’m told!
Yes, MISERY seldom lives alone,
BUT, with Happiness, (s)he’ll often groan,
And lose some sleep, but that’s OK,
MISERY’S HAPPY IN A SAD, SAD WAY!
For, (s)he knows
That (s)he dra(w)s
Happiness To Her(Him),
Just because! 🙂
Moral: Misery loves Company – and The company (s)he keeps is: HAPPINESS!
