“DISTINCTIONS!” a poem March 24, 2018 – Saturday. Cry, IF YOU WISH! Kisses to ALL! 🙂
We’re looking FOR DISTINCTIONS! Between 2 JUSTICE types:
May WE use Handi-Wipes?
May we “frac” oil or lay some pipe, INSIDE OF YOUR BACK YARD?
ALL our cars, and
MILK OUR COWS REAL HARD?
Our planet’s fragile, Ain’t IT? –
Pretty, sexy woman and get her drunk on wine?
JUSTICE! JUSTICE! EVERYWHERE! AND NOT A DROP TO DRINK!
‘Cause methane’s in my water – my water sure does stink!
Well, then, whose justice,
Shall we cite,
AS JUSTICE ABSOLUTE?
Do-we ask Your Mother?
Or, Can we shoot,
JUSTICE! SQUARE BETWEEN THE EYES? And call her relative?
Does “God” really care (IF (s)he exists!) WHO ARE WE TO LIVE,
And think this planet’s “SPECIAL,” Could-be-(an)-EXPERIMENT!
EXPENDABLE? DEPENDABLE? Oh, “J,” You are so “bent!”
WELL, WE HAVE SEARCHED D I S T I N C T L Y for DISTINCTION FOR SOMETIME; ASK AGAIN! SCREAM AGAIN! WRITE ANOTHER RHYME!
Social? or Environmental? Justice – PICK YOUR SIDE!
NO ONE’S FORCING YOU TO CHOOSE; IN THIS, I’VE SELDOM LIED!!
GIRD UP YOUR LOINS (AND)
AND MUTATE INTO SOME FINE FORM!
ARE WE NOT CANNON FODDER?!? 🙂
