“KISSING YOUR BODY!” “Flu Time! Don’t Get Mad; Get Glad!” 01/14/2018 (SUNDAY)

When we get “a touch” of flu, a cold or fever too,

Perhaps the body is protesting – saying this to you:

“I protest! Do NOT refuse, to let me have this day!

From your pompous scheduling! You sometimes need to p®ay!

For your disregard (pause)

Of my GREAT import!

I-AM your kindly body – Please Dear, hear me snort!

And wheeze and cough and hack and sneeze; I’m just expelling stuff,

That you, My Dear, have put in me (pause)

Come on NOW! Enough!

And when your body does these things,

Please-put a smile on,

And pat yourself upon the back, and say: “MY PRETTY HON,

I’m SORRY for my disregard (pause)

For You ARE very fine!

I love you, Sweetie! YOU’RE IMPORTANT!

And I’m glad you’re mine!

fin. ❤

Footnote *

While enjoying an early morning breakfast in a northern Arizona cafe, four elderly ranchers were discussing everything from cattle, horses, and weather, to how things used to be in the “good old days.”
Eventually the conversation moved on to their spouses.
One gentleman turned to the fellow on his right and asked,
“Roy, aren’t you and your bride celebrating your fiftieth wedding anniversary soon?”
“Yup, we sure are,” Roy replied.
“Well, are you gonna do anything special to celebrate?” another man asked.
The old gentleman pondered this for a moment, then replied, “For our twenty-fifth anniversary,
I took Bea to Tucson. Maybe for our fiftieth, I’ll go down there and get her.”😉😉
