WAITING

“JUST WAITING!” Christmas 2017. . . . for YOU! Monday.

I write
Or paint
Or sing a song!

I go out
To The Lawn:

To water there
Or feed The Birds!

Such things, I’ve always done! (pronounced: “dahwn!”)

I breathe
Another fateful breath!
And eat a bite of chow (pronounced: “ciao!”)

With-some-other-things
That-I-might-do,
And I am asking: “HOW?

Much longer
Will-I-“Spin-My-Wheels?
Waiting for MY LOVE?!”

I am only waiting (pause)
For YOU (pause)
My Turtle Dove!

[I am doing this or that,
From riches unto rags?!
I am simply waiting:
TO GO {IN}-BETWEEN YOUR LEGS!
So, I will wait, my angel (pause)
UNTIL You-notice-me!
I’m waiting now and waiting then –
TO BE INSIDE OF THEE!]
🙂

“Hope” is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all
And sweetest in the Gale is heard
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm
I’ve heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest Sea
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb — of Me.
