“MERRY CHRISTMAS TO SATAN!”* Saturday (December 23, 2017)
Ever meet The Devil!? Looked her in the eyes?
Watched her as she baked a batch – of scrumptious pumpkin pies!
Even hear The Devil prophecy for you? Or offer little cookies? Made with
Well, in The Greek, “diabolo” simply means “accuser!”
Ever think The Devil – ISN’T an abuser?
Or, MAYBE SO, but it COULD be – simply your friend Carol,
Who laughs and says: “Was that YOUR trash – in MY dumpster barrel?”
“Satana” in the ancient Greek is not a name at all!
It simply means “antagonist,”
About no Divine “fall,”
Of Lucifer, cast from Heaven, who torments hapless dead!
So-The-Devil could be your best friend!
Or The Conscience in your head!
Did Jesus parlay with a man,
In vile desert style?
Who had a tail, horns and fork, cursing all the while?
The Devil? (Satan?) in “The Matrix,” was never Smith, the Agent,
BUT The Oracle, who was in charge,
A black and charming Cajun(t)!
And Jesus wrestled with His conscience, during His sojourn,
40 days and nights, my Friends, can make a person “burn!”
So, even if incarnate “fiends” show up Christmas morn,
And start to play an evil dirge from Hell with “clarion horn,”
INVITE THEM IN!
They might be angels! Who were not “raised right!”
And, if you give them Christmas cheer, ‘Twill be a Silent Night!
And, when you get right down to it, My friends who’re mild and meek,
Satan’s just a smiling neighbor – who is a control freak! 🙂
- : Meet GLORIA! in Excelsis Deo! FOSTER, who passed away in 2001 , was married to Clarence Williams III (”Linc Hayes” from “The Mod Squad!”) & was divorced in 1984, 17 years before she died, who, according to Williams was not the easiest person to be around, even though, in “The Matrix,” she cooked a wonderful cookie! There is a little “satan” in all of us, but you can always try to make friends with it … and not let it rule you, so you will not become a demanding, controlling, nagging “monster!” Of course, this is no horrific condemnation of Gloria, but, sometimes, the most “satan” people in your lives are your parents or, dare I say it, your spouse! 🙂
